Some people bring out the worst in you, others bring out the best, and then there are those remarkably rare, addictive ones who just bring out the most. Of everything. They make you feel so alive that you’d follow them straight into hell, just to keep getting your fix.
The most important things are the hardest to say. They are the things you get ashamed of, because words diminish them — words shrink things that seemed limitless when they were in your head to no more than living size when they’re brought out. But it’s more than that, isn’t it? The most important things lie too close to wherever your secret heart is buried, like landmarks to a treasure your enemies would love to steal away. And you may make revelations that cost you dearly only to have people look at you in a funny way, not understanding what you’ve said at all, or why you thought it was so important that you almost cried while you were saying it. That’s the worst, I think. When the secret stays locked within not for want of a teller but for want of an understanding ear.

Looking forward to seeing Hatfields & McCoys on the History channel! Not so distant relation to both families and after spending many a summer right off the Big Sandy River with family members that still live in the area, it’s pretty exciting to see Kevin Costner, Tom Berenger and Bill Paxton playing some of my relatives.
Since I am moving from Florida, I’ve been thinking what a relief it is. I have left many times but some how always ended back here for some reason. I have always hated this state for so many reasons. The constant heat, where it’s so hot some years you can wear your bathing suit at Christmas….
Yeah, Sweetie…you gotta rethink this whole trust thing. Before I read what you wrote, I would have assumed the guy was a sexual predator from his picture. Of course, I’m not always the best judge of character either. lol
