Only a bit jaded...

Essentially what Legally Blonde portrays

Last year, several members of the JM Fan Street Team chipped in to purchase bricks at a special site being constructed at a school in Tennessee, in honor of two of our amazing heroes, Andrew and Isaac McFadyen.

The brickwork has been completed, and we are proud to show our gift to them.  Andy’s brick is inspired by lyrics from his favorite JM song, “If I Ever Get Around to Living.”  Isaac’s brick contains lyrics from his favorite JM song, “Vultures.”

A big “thank you” to our team member Chanda, for coordinating this wonderful schoolyard tribute to Andy and Isaac, who both inspire our group every day to keep working hard for MPS kids.

NOTE:  We are not John Mayer’s official street team, and he is not involved in our fundraising activities.  Please see the Full Disclaimer in the right margin of our page.

Me all day every day
Run your fingers through my hair and tell me I’m a good somebody.

There’s no need for heartbreak warfare. It’s called ‘I love you’ — ‘I love you too’. ‘I need more love’ — ‘You got more love’, and you can get through life like that. Shouldn’t you just, on days where you want more love, be like ‘I had a bad dream that you were sleeping around, it’s really irrational, but just love me extra today’. Why can’t we just have this thing where you just say ‘Just love me extra today’. If I was with somebody and they said ‘Love me extra today’, I would love them extra forever.

"It teaches us that it’s not wrong unless someone comes to the rescue" .. so true. How many of us never even say anything because nothing will happen if we do?

Taken from the New York Daily News (Click To Read Full Story)

A black fashion student says he was brutally attacked by a gang of Hasidic men who shouted anti-gay slurs at him while he was walking through Williamsburg after a night of partying, the Daily News has learned.

Taj Patterson, 22, was headed home to Fort Greene around 4:30 a.m. on Dec. 1 when he says more than a dozen ultra-Orthodox Jewish men began assaulting him on Flushing Ave. and yelling, “Stay down, f——t!”

“I’m walking down some block by myself and then the next thing I know, I’m surrounded by a group of Hasidic Jewish men and they’re attacking me,” Patterson said. “I was alone. I was an easy target. I’m black. I’m gay, a whole slew of reasons.”

The New York City College of Technology student left for a fun night out with friends, and returned with a broken eye socket, a torn retina, blood clotting, and cuts and bruises to his knee and ankles.

My mom told me about this incident. I had to manually search for it.

Did NBC news report on this? NO

Did ABC7/EYEWITESS NEWS report on this? NO

Did CBS/CW fuck even FOX report on this? NO

You would think an attack of this stature would get as much attention as “The Knockout Game” but no. No news outlets reported it. Gee I wonder why. I guess I’ll wait for the excuse makers to say “Oh well maybe he was making it up blah blah blah.”

This should have more notes and more publicity. But he’s gay and black so of course he wouldn’t have neither.

This is sad. Just because someone is different or chooses to live life in a way you don’t approve of, does not give you the right to harm them. Period.
